| To apply a paragraph style, click anywhere in a paragraph and choose a paragraph style from the Paragraph Format menu on the Main Toolbar or the Type > Header submenu. To apply a physical style, select the text, and click the Bold, Italic, or Teletype button on the Main Toolbar, or choose a physical style from the Type > Style submenu. |

| To apply a predefined style to a table, choose a style from the pop-up menu in the upper left corner of the Style tab of the Table palette, and click Apply. To remove a predefined style from a table, make sure that the table is selected, and click Clear in the Style tab of the Table palette. |

| To add a caption to a table, select Caption in the Table Inspector, and choose Above Table or Below Table from the pop-up menu in the Table Inspector. Then click above or below the table to insert a cursor and type the text for the caption. |
