Finding and replacing text

Now you'll find the word “loud” and replace it with the word “powerful.” You'll begin by setting preferences for finding text. You'll have GoLive keep the Find window in front of the document window when a match is found.

1.
Choose Edit > Preferences (Windows) or GoLive > Preferences (Mac OS).

In the left pane of the Preferences dialog box, click the Find icon to display preferences for finding text.

Choose Keep Find Window In Front from the When Match Is Found menu in the right pane, and click OK.

Now you'll search for the text to replace.

Scroll upward in the document window, so that you can view the beginning of the document. Then click before the main heading on the page to insert a cursor.

Choose Edit > Find > Find Content.

In the Find Content window, select the In Current Document tab. Then type loud in the Find text box.

Click the triangle () next to Replace to open the Replace text box. In the Replace text box, type powerful, and click Find.

The word “loud” is highlighted in the document.

In the Find window, click Replace. In the document, “loud” is replaced with “powerful.”

9.
Close the Find window, and choose File > Save.
