Lesson 9. Using Actions and JavaScript > Adding a Netscape CSS Fix action

Adding a Netscape CSS Fix action

Some versions of Netscape Navigator contain programming that causes Web pages with layers to have trouble displaying properly when viewers resize the browser window (layers are built with cascading style sheets). Now you'll add a head action that prevents this problem. It's a good idea to add this action to any page containing animated layers and to always test your animations or actions in a variety of browsers and versions.

1.
From the Smart set () of the Objects palette, drag the Head Action icon to the head section of the document window.

You want this action to run when the page is loading. In the Head Action Inspector palette, click Show Action Palette to display the Rollovers & Actions palette and leave the Event section set to OnLoad.

2.
From the Action pop-up menu, choose Others > Netscape CSS Fix.

Choosing Others > NetscapeCSS Fix from Action pop-up menu

3.
Choose File > Save.
