Adding color

Now you'll add color to the design diagram to better distinguish between the different sections of the diagram. To simplify the lesson, all the custom colors you'll use for this design have already been added to your Colors tab in the site window. For information on adding custom colors to the Color tab in the site window, see “Updating the custom color palette” on page 135.

1.
Select the Travel page in the design diagram window.

2.
In Graphics tab of the Section Inspector, click the Fill Color field to open the Color palette. You may have to click the tab of the Color palette to open it if it is collapsed.

3.
Select the Swatches tab. Click the triangle in the upper right side of the Swatches palette and choose Small List. Click the triangle a second time and choose Site Colors from the menu.

4.
Select the color labeled #9999FF travel.

5.
In the Section Inspector, make sure the Fill Color slider is centered.

6.
Click the Header Fill Color color field.

7.
In the Swatches tab, select the color labeled #9999FF travel again.

Next you'll add color to the customer service section.

8.
Repeat steps 2-7 to apply a Fill Color and a Header Fill Color for the Customer Service page, using the color labeled #669999 customer service.

9.
Choose File > Save to save your work.
