Changing the color of table cells

Now you'll change the color of the cells in the table to yellow.

1.
Move the pointer to the left edge of the table, and click to select the table.

The Table tab is automatically selected in the Table Inspector.

In the Table Inspector, click the Color field to select the field and display the Color palette. (Be sure to click the Color field, not the checkbox.)

In the Color palette with the RGB slider selected, type FFFFCC in the Value text box, and press Enter or Return.

The selected color appears in the color preview box of the Color palette and the Color field in the Table Inspector. In addition, the color of the table cells changes to yellow.

You can also change the color of individual table cells. You'll change the color of the cells in the right column to green.

Move the cursor over the top edge of the right column until it changes to a down-facing arrow. Then click to select all of the cells in the column.

The Cell tab in the Table Inspector is automatically selected.

In the Table Inspector, click the Color field to select the field and display the Color palette.

In the Color palette with the RGB slider tab selected, type 99CC99 in the Hex Value text box, and press Enter or Return.

The selected color appears in the preview pane of the Color palette and the Color field in the Table Inspector. In addition, the color of the selected cells changes to green.

7.
In the document window, click in the blank space outside the table to deselect all of its cells.
