Chapter 5. Working with Images > Inserting Shared Assets

Inserting Shared Assets

New to Contribute 3, a shared asset is an image, a Flash movie, or a Dreamweaver library item that is stored on the Web server and available to the people working on the Web site. You can pick from the shared assets and add them to your Web pages. Having the assets in one location on the Web site makes managing them much easier for the site designers, and helps keep everyone working on the site using the latest version of the assets.

The set of shared assets available to your user role is created and controlled by the Web site administrator. Depending on your user role, you may or may not have access to any shared assets, and the shared assets you can use may be different from co-workers in a different user role.
