Lesson 8. Storyboarding Flash Movies > Mixing Colors in Freehand

Mixing Colors in Freehand

Designing Flash movies is a multitiered process. Interaction design, where you specify how the user will interact with the movie; animation design, where you plan the sequence of motion; and data design, where you specify what kinds of data will be available, collected, and sent to and from the user and other resources (such as a database)—are all part of the global design process in Flash. Flash has excellent tools for each of these design elements of Flash movie development. But you also have to worry about traditional graphic design, and while Flash includes excellent graphic design tools, Freehand's are even more robust.

In this task, you will mix the colors you plan to use for your design. You'll use the colors on a number of the screen elements, including text and shapes that you'll later animate in Flash.
