Importing Bitmap Graphics

In this task, you'll replace the three gray rectangle placeholders with actual bitmap images.

1.
Click Frame 1 of the photos layer.

Any time you import, add, change, or remove content to/from the stage, you must always first select the keyframe in which the change is to take place.

Choose File > Import > Import to Stage. Browse to mushrooms.jpg on the CD-ROM in the Lesson09/Start folder. Click Open.

A digital photograph of mushrooms appears on the stage.

Use the Arrow tool to click the rectangle placeholder, and press Delete on the keyboard to remove it. Drag the bitmap into its original place.

Don't worry too much about positioning. As long as the bitmap is in roughly the same place as the original, and it looks good, that should be sufficient.

4.
Replace the bitmap placeholder in the second screen with squash.jpg.

Don't forget to select the correct keyframe (Frame 47 of the photos layer) before importing the file!

5.
Replace the bitmap placeholder in the third screen with peppers.jpg.

The design suddenly looks a lot more compelling!
