Chapter 5. Working with Images > Appearance Properties

Appearance Properties

When you insert an image, Dreamweaver does not include any border attributes. You can either add a border or specifically omit any visible border. (Old Web browsers added a border to all images by default unless a border of 0 was specified).

To add an image border

1.
Select the image to which you'd like to add a border (Figure 5.19). The Property inspector will display the image properties.

Figure 5.19. Select the image to display its properties in the Property inspector.

2.
In the Property inspector, type a number in pixels in the Border text box (Figure 5.20).

3.
Press Enter (Return). The border will be displayed around the image in the Document window (Figure 5.21).

Figure 5.21. The border will appear around the image. From the left, I used no border, a 1-pixel border, a 5-pixel border, a 10-pixel border, and a 50-pixel border.
