Attaching an Existing External Style Sheet

Attaching an existing style sheet to a page is very simple. After you have an external style sheet, you can attach it to any number of pages in your site.

To attach an external style sheet

1.
In the Document window, open the page to which you want to link the style sheet, or save the page you're working on.

2.
Click on the Attach Style Sheet button on the CSS Styles panel. The Attach External Style Sheet dialog box will appear (Figure 11.56).

3.
Choose a linking method:

  • To use the new file as a linked style sheet, click on Link.

  • To import the styles onto the pages, click on Import.

4.
Click on Browse (Choose) to select the folder your style sheets are stored in. The Select Style Sheet File dialog box will appear (Figure 11.57).

  • To attach an existing style sheet, select the file and click OK.

  • To create a new style sheet, type a filename for your new file, ending in .css, in the File/URL text box. A dialog box will ask you if you want to create the file—click Yes.
