Paragraphs vs. Line Breaks

Your elementary school English teacher probably told you that a paragraph contains a minimum of three sentences, and that longer paragraphs include a topic sentence. In HTML, the paragraph is simply a unit of text enclosed by <p> tags, and each paragraph is automatically separated from other paragraphs by a blank line. Figure 9.2 shows a page that consists of four paragraphs.
