Chapter 17. Managing Your Web Sites > Enabling Automatic Uploads

Enabling Automatic Uploads

Dreamweaver allows you to upload a file after each save. You might want to turn this feature on if you're working on a fairly small site, tweaking the final details on a few pages, and are reasonably sure that the act of updating the site won't affect any visitors (e.g., you're putting up a new site or adding a section to an existing one).

To enable automatic uploads

1.
Open the Site Definition dialog box for your site.

2.
Click Remote Info to bring that panel to the front.

3.
Check the Automatically upload files to server on save checkbox (Figure 17.66).

Figure 17.66. You can enable automatic uploads in the Remote Info area of the Site Definition dialog box so your pages will get Put after each save. (You can turn this feature off again after you're done with your current page.)

4.
Click OK to save your preferences.
