Invisible Elements

Dreamweaver mostly displays Web pages in Design view, so they look the same way they will look in a browser window. One exception, however, is invisible elements. While they're not visible to a Web browser, you may at times need to display these elements in order to select, copy, delete, edit, or move them.

To view invisible elements

  • From the Document window menu bar, select View > Visual Aids > Invisible Elements.

    Any invisible elements on the current page will show up in the form of little icons (Figure 1.63).

    Figure 1.63. When you view invisible elements, you may see all kinds of little icons that weren't visible before. The Property inspector will show you what a selected icon contains.
