Using the Site Window

Dreamweaver’s Site window (Figure 2.22) is both a file-management tool and a full-fledged FTP client that helps you put your site online. In Windows, the Site window is a part of the Files panel group, but you can also undock it by clicking on the Expander button. On the Macintosh, the Site window is always a stand-alone window, but it functions pretty much the same.

The bottom window is the Site panel docked on a Windows machine. Click the Expander button to show a two-pane view like the one on the Macintosh. When you do this, the Site window will take over the Dreamweaver workspace.
