Setting Up a Form

For a form to function properly, you need to provide two key pieces of information: the action, or where the information in the form should be sent; and the method, or how the information in the form should be sent. A third piece of information you may need is the form name, which mainly helps distinguish between forms when more than one form will be presented on the same page.

You specify the action, method, and form name in Dreamweaver’s Property inspector (with the <form> tag selected).
