Chapter 7. Displaying Query Results

Chapter 7. Displaying Query Results

Almost every dynamic page you create will involve displaying the results of database queries, or recordsets, as they’re called in Dreamweaver MX. The results of a query can be as simple as a single field from a single record, or as extensive as 50 records, each with 15 fields. In Chapter 5 we covered simple methods for displaying a single record from a recordset.

Query results can be any request for a record or for several records from a database. In Web terms, the user’s query will be the equivalent of “Give me the ZIP Code for Peculiar, Missouri” or “Show me red T-shirts” or “List all the classes in the art department offered on Wednesdays.”
