Chapter 11. Code Editing Tools > Cleaning Up HTML

Cleaning Up HTML

For the most part, Dreamweaver writes passable, clean code. If you modify the code, Dreamweaver usually avoids changing it back. On the other hand, you may be working with code that isn’t clean enough to eat off, which may be your fault, the original page author’s fault, or a problem created by a weaker page editing tool.

Dreamweaver does make some errors that are easily fixed; it’ll throw in the occasional duplicate font tag or empty formatting tag.
