Validating Code & Using Site Reporting

You can validate your pages for accessibility compliance at any point in the development process. Keep in mind that, as with any HTML validation tool, the accessibility checker will turn up errors that aren’t really errors just because it can’t read your page like a human would to see if it really passes muster.

To run an accessibility check on the current page:

1.
Save your page.

2.
From the menu bar, select File > Check Page > Check Accessibility

or

From the menu bar, select Site > Reports, and in the Reports dialog box, select the Accessibility checkbox (Figure 16.33). Then click Run.

Either way, Dreamweaver will run a check on the current page, and its findings will appear in the Site Reports panel of the Results panel group (Figure 16.34).
