Editing Styles

Editing styles is now much easier in Dream weaver MX—everything you need is available in the CSS Styles panel. When you edit a style, all instances of it will be updated on the pages that use it. Whether you change from brown to green, right-aligned to justified, Arial to Courier, or scrap a style entirely, your changes will be automatic. Remember to upload your edited pages and style sheet.

To edit a style:

1.
On the CSS styles panel, click on the Edit Styles radio button (Figure 11.60). All styles in your page, whether classes, redefined tags, or selectors, and whether they're in an external style sheet or internal, will appear listed, including a brief summary of their attributes.

External style sheets will have a + button next to them. You can display or hide all the styles below a style sheet by clicking the +. When you make a change to an external style sheet, all pages linked to that style sheet will also be changed.

When you're done, click on OK to close the CSS Style Definition dialog box. Your edited style will appear in the CSS Styles panel.
