Chapter 13. Framing Pages > Setting Exact and Relative Sizes for Frames

Setting Exact and Relative Sizes for Frames

You can set the position of a frame border, as we've just seen, by dragging it into a new place on the page. If you want to set a more exact position, you'll set row height and column width.

When you split a frame or drag a frame border, Dreamweaver takes the information about the position of the frame border and translates it into a height or width amount for each frame, in either pixels or as a percent of the available space—either the Document window or the parent frameset.
