Chapter 18. Customizing Dreamweaver

For all practical purposes, the entire Dream weaver interface—that is, the back-end of the program itself—is written in JavaScript, HTML, and XML. That means you can customize the interface using a simple text editor.

If you know JavaScript, you can create your own dialog boxes, properties inspectors, panels, menu commands, and so on. Unfortunately, that's beyond the scope of this book, but I'll point you toward some resources if you want to learn more. (See the section Extending Dreamweaver with the JavaScript API.)
