Saving Steps as Commands

If you come up with some handy multi-step tricks you want to use again and again, you can save them as commands. That way, they'll be accessible—even after you quit and restart Dreamweaver—from the Commands menu. Saved commands are available as part of the Dreamweaver interface, regardless of which local site you're using.

To save steps as a command:

1.
In the History panel, select the step(s)you want to save (Figure 17.138).

On the History panel, click the Options menu button and select Save As Command (Figure 17.139)

Click the Save As Command button .

The Save As Command dialog box will appear ( Figure 17.140 ).

3.
Type a name for your command in the Command Name text box. Spaces and capital letters are okay.

4.
Click OK. The Command dialog box will close, and your command will be added to the Commands menu.
