Lesson 2. Working with Graphics > Adjusting the Space Around an Image

Adjusting the Space Around an Image

When you wrap text around graphics, you'll probably want to adjust the space around the image, as well. You can add vertical space (V Space) and horizontal space (H Space).

1.
In invent_lens.html, click the ptarena_outlens.jpg image to select it.

Right now, the text is very close to the edge of this graphic. The page would look better and the text would be easier to read if space was added around the image.

2.
In the Property inspector, type 10 in the H Space text field.

This setting creates 10 pixels of space on the left and right sides of the image. You cannot add space on only one side.

3.
Type 6 in the V Space text field.

This setting creates 6 pixels of space at the top and bottom of the image. You cannot add space on only one side.
