Lesson 6. Managing Your Site

Lesson 6. Managing Your Site

Site management is a vital part of Web development. The Site window provides extensive management tools that enable you to easily update and control your Web site. You can use the Site window to maintain both your local and remote sites. You can use it to view your site as a list of files, as well as a site map that displays a graphical representation of your Web site's hierarchy. Site maintenance, including moving, adding, and deleting files and folders, is best done in the Site window because Dreamweaver can keep track of your site and update your files accordingly.

In this lesson, you'll be working with the Site window to manage files and connect to a remote site.
