Lesson 4. Elements of Page Design > Using Window Size to Check Layout

Using Window Size to Check Layout

You can check your layout directly within Dreamweaver to determine what your page will look like on different sized screens using the Window Size drop-down menu.

NOTE

This menu is only available in Design View. You will work with other document views in Lesson 12.

At the bottom of the lighthouse.html document window, click the black arrow next to the box displaying the window size. Choose 760×420 (800×600 Maximized).

The document window will reset to 760×420.

NOTE

You can also add your own size presets to the list by choosing Edit Sizes at the bottom of the drop-down menu.

You can save and close the lighthouse.html document.
