Lesson 1. Dreamweaver MX Basics > Saving Colors as Favorites

Saving Colors as Favorites

All colors used in your site are located in the Assets panel. To ensure that the colors you use are consistent across your site, you can save commonly used colors in the Assets panel as Favorites.

1.
Click the arrow to the left of the Files panel group.

The Files panel group opens and gives you access to the Assets panel.

If the Files panel group is not open, you can choose Window > Assets. If the Files panel group is already open, and the Assets panel is displayed, you can skip this step.

2.
In the Assets panel, click the Colors icon in the left column and click the Site radio button for Colors at the top of the panel.

You will see the colors that you have already used within the “Lights of the Coast” project site.

3.
Select #330000 from the list of site colors on the Assets panel. Click the Add to Favorites button in the bottom right corner of the Assets panel.

Dreamweaver will display a dialog box informing you that the color has been added to your favorites. You will need to click the Favorites radio button for Colors at the top of the Assets panel in order to see the dark red color of your page header listed in your favorites.
