What You Have Learned

In this lesson, you have:

  • Created a form on a Web page to place form fields within, enabling visitors to send information to you (pages 336–341)

  • Added single-line text fields using options including width and maximum number of characters (pages 342–344)

  • Added a multi-line text field and set options for the number of lines, maximum characters, and wrap method (pages 345–346)

  • Added check boxes to allow users to select multiple choices (pages 347–348)

  • Added radio buttons to limit users to a single choice (pages 349–351)

  • Added list boxes and drop-down menus with multiple items and specified an item to be selected initially (pages 351–353)

  • Added buttons for Submit and Reset in order for users to send or clear the form (pages 354–355)

  • Used a behavior to validate individual fields and multiple fields to make sure that all required fields are filled out with the correct kind of data (pages 356–358)

  • Tested a form with a mailto action to be sure it is functioning correctly (pages 358–359)

  • Created a jump menu that allows users to navigate through the site (pages 360–362)
