Planning the Authentication Component of the elearning Site

As you learned in Lesson 12, Web applications frequently consist of a group of HTML pages, with each page performing a different function. Although you could build an entire Web application in Macromedia Flash using a single HTML page, in this exercise, you'll create a more traditional user-authentication application. As always, knowing what each of the required elements is in advance will make it much easier to develop your site efficiently.

User-authentication applications almost always have the same cluster or pages (with some variations.) The typical set of pages required to restrict access is as follows:
