Lesson 1. Preparing an eLearning Project > Attaching a Style Sheet

Attaching a Style Sheet

In the previous task you built the basic page structure—a banner area and an editable area—that you will use for creating new pages. What it lacks is a text-formatting scheme that can be shared across multiple files. This job is handled ably by cascading style sheets, and in this task, you will attach one to your template.

A CSS works like styles in Word or in page-layout software: By predefining a style, you can apply it to a block of text and instantly format several attributes, including size, color, font, underlining, alignment, and many others. It is a powerful system that enables you to mark up documents quickly with impressive and consistent results.
