Embedding the SWF

In the previous lesson, you spent all of your time in Flash. That is, everything you did in that lesson—creating and configuring the components, writing the ActionScript to collect the data, and so forth—was internal to the movie. In this lesson, you are fitting the Flash movie into your site. To do so, the Flash movie needs to sit inside a page. In addition to making the movie accessible, by placing the Flash movie on a specific page, you enable Flash to participate in the data flow that makes the application work.

This task corresponds to number 4 in the numbered figure presented at the beginning of the chapter.
