Lesson 15. Building a Web Survey > Building Multiple-Page Web Forms

Building Multiple-Page Web Forms

Like most Web application components, most online surveys require multiple pages. As you would expect from the elearning site map, the survey encompasses survey1.cfm, survey2.cfm, and thanks.cfm. You might be surprised to learn that one other page is integral to the function of the surveys: login.cfm. The reason this page is important is that user data entered on this page, specifically the username, is retrieved by the survey (remember, it is stored as a session variable) and inserted into the database along with the user's responses to the survey questions on survey1.cfm and survey2.cfm. The pages that make up the survey component of the elearning application are marked in black in the following figure.
