Lesson 1. Developing Web Sites with Adob... > Creating a third Web page

Creating a third Web page

To finish your site, you'll create a third Web page based on the stationery that you created in the previous section, and you'll add an image to the page.

1.
Click the Site Extras button () at the top of the Objects palette, and make sure that Stationery is selected from the pop-up menu at the bottom of the palette. An icon representing the stationery that you created earlier is displayed.

2.
Drag the fs_stationery.html icon from the Objects palette to the pages folder in the Files tab of the site window. The new file is named New_from_fs_stationery.html.

3.
Rename the file features.html.

4.
Double click features.html to open the file.

First you'll change the page title.

5.
Select the text “Burning Questions for First Strike Matches” located next to the Page icon () at the top of the document window. Replace this text with the new title “Product Features for First Strike Matches.”

Now you'll replace the Burning Questions image at the top of the page with the Product Features image (product.gif).

6.
Click in the area of the Burning Questions image on the features.html page to select the image.

7.
In the Basic tab of the Image Inspector, drag from the Point and Shoot button () to the product.gif image in the media folder in the Files tab of the site window.

8.
Choose File > Save to save your work.

Next you'll add a pre-prepared graphic that outlines the features of First Strike Matches.

9.
Drag an image icon from the Basic set of the Objects palette, and place it on the layout grid below the Product Features image on the left side of the page.

10.
With the image placeholder selected, in the Basic tab of the Image Inspector, drag from the Point and Shoot button to the chart.gif file in the media folder in the Files tab of the site window.

11.
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to reposition the image that you've just added until you are pleased with the vertical spacing on the page. You can also click the Align Center button () on the toolbar to center the image between the left and right margins of the layout grid.

12.
Choose File > Save to save the page.

13.
Choose File > Close to close the page.
