Lesson 8. Creating Rollovers > Adding a floating box to hold a rollover button

Adding a floating box to hold a rollover button

Now you're ready to finish the navigation bar by adding the About Us portion. When finished, the navigation bar will contain six rollovers at the top level—three stars each with a rollover effect, and three text images that trigger the appearance of a drop-down menu. Each star and text pair is placed inside a floating box on the page. Floating boxes are useful because they allow you to overlap objects on a page. Using floating boxes, you can position the rollover buttons on top of the single, large image that makes up the background of this page. Understand, however, that you don't need to place rollover buttons in floating boxes—you can place rollover buttons directly on a page, on a layout grid, or inside a table cell.

First you'll add a floating box to the page. Then you'll place the rollover button inside the floating box.
