Adding color

Now you'll add color to the design diagram to better distinguish between the different sections of the diagram. To simplify the lesson, all the custom colors you'll use for this design have already been added to your Colors tab in the site window. For information on adding custom colors to the Color tab in the site window, see “Updating the custom color palette” on page 138.

1.
Select the Travel page in the design diagram window.

2.
In Graphics tab of the Section Inspector, click the Fill Color field to open the Color palette. You may have to click the tab of the Color palette to open it if it is collapsed.

3.
In the Color palette, click the Site Color List button (), and select the color labeled travel #9999FF.

4.
In the Section Inspector, make sure the Fill Color slider is centered.

5.
Click the Header Fill Color color field.

6.
In the Site Color List set of the Color palette, select the color labeled travel #9999FF again.

7.
In the Inspector, drag the Fill Color slider to the right to increase the intensity of the color. We dragged the slider all the way to the right.

Next you'll add color to the customer service section.

8.
Repeat steps 1-7 for the Customer Service page, using the color labeled customer service #669999.

9.
Choose File > Save to save your work.
