Adding sections

You can add single pages to a design diagram as separate objects, or you can add pages in a family relationship—parent, child, previous sibling, or next sibling, for example—to an existing page or section. You can also add sets of child pages to a page or section. When you add new child pages, you can make the child pages and their parent a section. Note, however, that a child page can have only one parent.

A section is a hierarchy of pages, usually a sub-tree, which is part of a larger hierarchy. The section and its children are descendents of some other object or parent. A section is treated as a unit to simplify file management—the children of the section inherit section properties. Pages in a section will often have the same base filename. Sections can contain other sections (subsections) as well as pages.
