Chapter 3. Projects and Project Sites

Chapter 3. Projects and Project Sites

You wouldn't be a member of a Web team without a project to work on. In Sitespring, a project is a Web site or section of a Web site that your team has been assigned to build. Sitespring organizes tasks and files according to project. Each project is associated with one client organization and has one project owner, who's usually the project team lead or project manager. You can also create a project site—a small Web site where a client user can log in and communicate with the project team and view project status.

All the tasks presented in this chapter can be performed only by users whose accounts have project manager permissions. Depending on your role on a project team and how your organization chooses to divide responsibility, you may or may not have permission to create or change a project's information.
