Chapter 1. Introduction to Sitespring > Getting Around in Sitespring

Getting Around in Sitespring

The first time you log into Sitespring, you'll find yourself on your own Sitespring home page. Each user who logs in will see a custom-tailored page. At first glance it can seem confusing—there's a lot of information and numerous buttons that take you to other places within the application. Let's walk through the highlights so you can get your bearings.

The Home Page

The home page contains an overview of projects, tasks, discussions, and reports that relate to your work (Figure 1.10). At the top of the page are standard navigation buttons that appear on every page throughout the Sitespring application. Under each section heading you'll find items that relate specifically to you and your work. Under the section My Projects, for example, you'll see a list of projects you're currently working on. Under My Tasks, you'll find items that have been assigned to you by other members of the team. The My Discussions area lists topics in a messaging system related to the projects and tasks. Finally, the My Reports section lists any custom reports you have saved.
