Chapter 6. Working with Links > Changing Link Colors

Changing Link Colors

Link colors are part of what's known as page properties—the set of options that are applied to an entire page, rather than to an object on that page. The other page properties are covered in Chapter 3.

To change a page's link colors:

1.
With the page open in the Document window, select Modify > Page Properties from the menu bar. The Page Properties dialog box will appear (Figure 6.39).

2.
The text boxes marked Links, Visited Links, and Active Links control those colors for the current page. (See the sidebar Link, Alink, and Vlink for details about those options.) Type (or paste) the hex code for the desired color in the appropriate text box.

or

Click on the color box beside the appropriate text box. The color picker will appear (Figure 6.40). Click on a color to select it.

or

For details on choosing a color from your desktop or on using the Color dialog box for the PC (Figure 6.41) or the Mac, see Chapter 3.

3.
After you choose a color, the hex code for that color will appear in the Page Properties dialog box. Click on OK to close the dialog box and return to the Dreamweaver window, or keep the dialog box open and modify the other link color options.
