Kinds of Styles

When you create a style, it's generally one of two types: a redefined tag or a style class.

The first kind, which we looked at on the previous page, involves redefining an HTML tag so that it includes new properties, as well as retaining its own. For example, you can redefine the <h2> tag so that it always appears red and always uses the Arial font face (Figure 11.6).
