Chapter 11. Stylin' with Style Sheets > Attaching an External Style Sheet

Attaching an External Style Sheet

Attaching an existing style sheet to a page is very simple. As described previously, you can create the style sheet while you're creating a style, or you can create a style sheet with the Edit Style Sheet dialog box. Dreamweaver has added one more way to attach an external style sheet, which is a great new shortcut.

To attach an external style sheet:

1.
In the Document window, open the page to which you want to link the style sheet.

2.
Click on the menu button on the CSS Styles panel. From the menu that appears (Figure 11.59), select Attach Style Sheet. The Select Style Sheet File dialog box will appear (Figure 11.60).

3.
Browse through the files and folders on your computer until you find the correct file. Select it, and click on Select (or Choose on the Mac).
