Creating Headings

Think of headings (also called headers) as being the same as headlines in a newspaper. They're generally larger than the body text of an article and bold. A heading is a block-type tag; that is, a line of white space precedes and follows a heading, just like other kinds of paragraphs.

There are six sizes, or levels, of headings (Figure 9.8). Heading 1 is the largest, and Heading 6 is often smaller than default body text.
