Moving Layers

The location of a layer on the page is measured by the distance from the top-left corner of the page (or the parent layer) to the top-left corner of the layer itself. You can change the location of a layer at any point—before or after you put content in it.

To change the layer's location by dragging:

1.
Select the layer.

2.
Click on the layer's selection handle (Figure 14.27) and drag it to its new location (Figure 14.28).

Use the arrow keys to move the layer in one-pixel increments.
