Choosing Tags

There are four tags used in creating layers. The <div> and <span> tags create what is called a CSS layer. The <div> tag uses absolute positioning; a paragraph break surrounds the <div> tag. If you prefer to create a layer that's inline with the rest of the page, without paragraph breaks, then you want to use the <span> tag, which uses relative positioning.

To change tags:

1.
Select the layer.

In the Property inspector, choose either <div> or <span> from the Tag drop-down menu (Figure 14.26).
