Extra Parameters

Some multimedia objects require other parameters for optimal performance. These parameters may be indicated in the documentation for the language or program you're using. Of course, if it's an applet or object you wrote yourself, you'll know all about it already. (See the sections on sound for details about embedded sound parameters.)

To set additional object parameters:

1.
In the Document window, select the placeholder for the object. The Property inspector will display the object's properties.

2.
On the Property inspector, click on the Parameters button. The Parameters dialog box appears (Figure 7.52).

Figure 7.52. Add any extra attributes for your multimedia files in the Parameters dialog box.

3.
Click on the Plus (+) button. The Parameter text field becomes available.

4.
Type the name of the parameter in the Parameter text field (such as loop).

5.
Press the Tab key. The Value text field becomes available.

6.
Type the value of the parameter in the Value text field (such as TRUE).

7.
Repeat steps 3–6 for any additional parameters.

8.
When you're all set, click on OK to close the dialog box, and return to the Document window.
