The Property Inspector

You'll use the Property inspector more than any other floating window, because it lets you work with the specific attributes of almost every object you can put on your page. It displays text properties most often, and it changes appearance depending on what object you have selected.

To display the Property inspector:

1.
From the Document window menu bar, select Modify > Selection Properties or Window > Properties, or press Ctrl+F3 (Command+F3). The Property inspector will appear (Figure 1.42).

To display the entire Property inspector, click on the expander arrow in the bottom-right corner of the Property inspector (Figure 1.43).

If no object is selected, the Property inspector will display text properties (Figure 1.44).
