Image Fields

Instead of the standard gray push buttons that usually appear in forms, you can use images as buttons. This method only works for Submit buttons.

To create an image field:

1.
Click to place the insertion point at the place on the form where you want the image button to appear.

2.
From the Document window menu bar, select Insert > Form Objects > Image Field.

or

Click on the Insert Image Field button on the Forms panel of the Objects panel, or drag the button to the page.

The Select Image Source dialog box will appear (Figure 15.55).

3.
This dialog box is just like the Insert Image dialog box. Type the pathname of the image in the Image File text box, or select the image from your hard drive.

4.
Click on OK to close the Select Image Source dialog box. The image will appear in the Document window with a dashed line around it.

5.
Display the Property inspector, if it's not open (Figure 15.56). The Src text box will display the path and filename of the image.

6.
Type a name in the Name text box.

7.
