Food for Thought

It's time to think about the information covered in this chapter. Here are a few suggestions for getting the thought processes going. To see what others have come up with or to share your thoughts with other readers, be sure to visit the companion Web site for this book, http://www.smallbusinessonweb.com/.

  • Think about the concept of building your Web site locally and then uploading a copy to the Web server. What are some of the other benefits to doing this? What are some of the drawbacks?

  • Look at the Web site hierarchy you worked on in the previous two chapters. Use it to create a local root folder with subfolders on your hard disk. (Or simply write down the names of folders and subfolders you think you'll need.)

  • Can you think of any reason you might want to learn HTML in preparation for creating a Web site?

  • What's more important to you in a software package: ease of use or power?
