Lesson 9. Using Actions and JavaScript > Applying actions to page elements

Applying actions to page elements

In this part of the lesson, you'll start applying actions to elements on the page. You can apply actions to various elements, including floating boxes, images, and links.

Using actions to manipulate floating boxes

You'll be using actions in this section to make the stock ticker already at the top of the page (a floating box called Quotes) retractable, so that it won't take up space when it's not needed. You'll do this by creating another floating box containing an image that will extend or collapse the ticker when clicked. For additional information on floating boxes, see "Working with floating boxes".
