Creating a new Web site

You'll begin this lesson by creating a new Web site using Adobe GoLive.

1.
Start Adobe GoLive. A new document named Untitled.html opens. You don't need a new document for this part of the lesson.

Choose File > Close to close Untitled.html.

Now you're ready to create a new Web site.

Choose File > New Site > Blank.

4.
Type Gage as the name of the new site.

Do one of the following:

  • In Windows, click Browse and use the pop-up dialog box to select the Lesson03 folder.

  • In Mac OS 8, select the Lesson03 folder, and don't open it.

  • In Mac OS 9, select and open the Lesson03 folder.

Make sure that Create Folder is selected so that Adobe GoLive creates a folder for you.

7.
In Windows, click OK. In Mac OS 8, click Choose. In Mac OS 9, click Save.

A folder named Gage Folder is created within the Lesson03 folder. The site window appears with the Files tab selected displaying the contents of the Gage site.

8.
Use Explorer (Windows) or the Finder (Mac OS) to open the Gage Folder, and examine its contents.
