Lesson 7. Creating Rollovers > Getting started

Getting started

In this lesson, you'll work on the design of the home page of a Web site for a fictional company called http://Trilobite.com, which specializes in selling trilobites, collectible fossils of one of the first arthropods. You'll work on the design of a navigation bar for the page by adding rollover buttons to the page and then assigning actions to these buttons.

Rollover buttons are buttons that change in appearance when your mouse moves over them or clicks them. You can assign actions to rollover buttons that are triggered by the same mouse events. Examples of actions that you can assign to a rollover button are showing and hiding a floating box. For more complete information on using actions, see Lesson 9, "Using Actions and JavaScript."
